Organizations in industry and governments globally are susceptible to a wide range of cyber-attacks. These threats are becoming increasingly more elaborated and malicious. And the targets of these attacks are struggling to address the challenges of cyber security because there is a significant shortage of cyber security professionals in the world.
With a Master of Science in Information Technology (Cyber Security) you will be part of a rare breed of cyber security professionals who can design secure systems, attack secure systems, apply standards and best-practices to business applications, as well as navigate the legal and regulatory environment surrounding technology. You will learn the tools and techniques to address attacks which already exist in our current tech landscape, as well as the kinds of attacks that are likely to occur in the future as we progress towards the Internet of Things and Web 3.0.
The curriculum is designed to combine a rich theoretical foundation with a strong laboratory component to provide students with lifelong learning capabilities and marketable skills for today’s demanding job market.
Students have the option to choose between a thesis and a non-thesis study track. In both tracks, students complete a set of security courses.
